off your Delmarva Power bill, for households under the income limit.
There are no documents to send and nothing to prove. Everyone else on Delmarva Power saves 10% on the same terms.
Alpha Genesis is bringing community solar to Cambridge. A local solar farm in the Delmarva service area produces the power, Delmarva Power puts a credit on the bill you already get, and you pay less for that credit than it is worth. Nothing is installed where you live.
Renters and homeowners both qualify. No credit check. No upfront cost.
Delmarva Power is the only Maryland territory where the income-qualified discount reaches 63%, and Dorchester County is exactly where that matters. If your household is over the limit, the standard 10% is still yours on the same terms.
Under the limit for your household size, or on one of the assistance programs listed below. Nothing to upload, nothing to prove.
No income test, no paperwork, same farm and the same terms. Cancel anytime.
Community solar is a local solar farm in the Delmarva service area, built on a field or a large rooftop, that generates electricity for a whole neighborhood. Instead of putting panels on your own roof, you subscribe to a share of that farm's output.
The farm sends its power to the grid. Delmarva Power puts a credit on your bill every month. You pay less. That is it.
Maryland sets the limit at 80% of the state median income, by household size. Count everyone who lives with you.
| People in the home | Household income under |
|---|---|
| 1 | $68,500 |
| 2 | $78,250 |
| 3 | $88,050 |
| 4 | $97,800 |
| 5 | $105,650 |
| 6 | $113,450 |
| 7 | $121,300 |
| 8 | $129,100 |
Or skip the income question entirely. If anyone in your household is on Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP or OHEP, SSI, TANF, WIC, Section 8, or free and reduced price school meals, you qualify on that alone, whatever the income figure says.
Maryland lets a household confirm its own income for community solar, so you state it on the agreement and that is the whole process. It is a legal statement, so answer it honestly. But there is nothing to go and find first, and nothing that holds your enrollment up while you look.
“We build Authentic, Creative, Communities by integrating arts and culture.”

Alpha Genesis Community Development Corporation is a Cambridge nonprofit whose stated mission is to strengthen strategic partnerships through arts and culture to build a vibrant, thriving community.
Lowering a household's electric bill is not an arts program. It is the same idea by another route: money that stays in Cambridge.
Cambridge sits in Delmarva Power territory, the only place in Maryland where the income-qualified discount reaches 63%.
Nobody visits your home. Nothing gets installed. Delmarva Power stays your utility and keeps handling your power and your outages.
Your utility, your household size, and whether you are under the income limit. About two minutes, and it tells us which farm fits.
A photo of the complete Delmarva Power bill, both pages. Your account number and usage come straight off it, so there is nothing to type. No bill handy? Sign now and send it later.
Solar credits appear on your Delmarva Power bill. Same bill, same due date, lower total.
A few questions, about three minutes. No documents to send, no credit check, and nothing gets installed.
Community solar subscriptions are administered by Our Power Co. (T/A My Utility Advisor), Maryland Public Service Commission Subscription Coordinator No. 23D3065350006676. Delmarva Power is the electric utility that delivers your power and is not affiliated with this offer. Savings are a percentage of the value of the solar credits you receive and vary by household, utility and farm. Availability depends on how much room a farm has left.
