Who sends your electric bill, and roughly what your household looks like. The Finder then shows which discount you qualify for and about what it is worth a month, before it asks for any contact details.

The agreement is plain-words first. You send one copy of a recent Delmarva Power bill so we have the account number and your usage.

The credit arrives

Delmarva Power stays your utility and keeps sending your bill. A solar credit lands on it, and you pay less than you would have.

Straight answers

What this is, and what it is not.

Is anything installed at my home?

No. Nothing goes on your roof, your wall or your meter. The equipment sits at a solar farm elsewhere in Maryland and you subscribe to a share of it.

Do I leave Delmarva Power?

No. Delmarva Power stays your utility, your account number stays the same, and you keep getting one bill from them. The credit shows up on it.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing upfront. A credit appears on your Delmarva Power bill and you end up paying less than you would have. You can cancel anytime.

Do I have to prove my income?

No income verification. Maryland lets a household confirm its own income on the agreement for this offer. You do need to send one thing: a copy of a recent Delmarva Power bill, because that is where your account number and your usage come from.

When do the credits start?

Not immediately. You are reserving a share now, and the credits begin when the solar farm serving your household starts producing. There is nothing to pay in the meantime, and the agreement names the farm and its expected start date before you sign.

I rent. Does that matter?

No. You only need a Delmarva Power account in your name. Renters, apartment dwellers and homeowners all enroll the same way.

Does this affect SNAP, OHEP or my energy assistance?

No. A solar credit on your electric bill is an additional benefit. It does not replace energy assistance and it does not count against SNAP or OHEP.

My bill comes from Choptank Electric, not Delmarva Power.

Then this offer is not open to you, and we would rather say so here than after you have filled anything in. Delmarva Power and Choptank Electric split Cecil County between them, and the solar farms behind this offer connect to Delmarva Power's grid only. The first question in the Finder asks who sends your bill, for exactly this reason.

Find out in about two minutes.

No contact details until after you have seen your own number.
